Job Responsibilities

    Translate written documents, including but not limited to, legal contracts, medical reports, technical manuals, marketing materials, educational content, and official correspondence, from one language to another.

    Maintain the meaning, tone, style, and intent of the original text while ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance in the translated document.

    Research specialized terminology and industry-specific vocabulary to ensure precision and consistency in translation.

    Proofread and edit translated documents to ensure grammatical correctness, clarity, and coherence.

  • 5

    Collaborate with clients, project managers, and subject matter experts to clarify ambiguities, address questions, and ensure accuracy in translation.

    Adhere to deadlines and prioritize workload effectively to deliver high-quality translations within specified timeframes.

    Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive or proprietary information contained in the documents being translated.

    Utilize translation software, glossaries, and reference materials to enhance productivity and accuracy in translation projects.

    Stay updated on language trends, cultural nuances, and industry developments to continuously improve translation skills and knowledge.

    Provide cultural insights and recommendations to clients to ensure effective communication and localization of content for target audiences.

Qualifications

    Proficiency in at least two languages, including English and another language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, French, etc.).

    Excellent command of written language in both source and target languages, with strong grammar, vocabulary, and syntax skills.

    Previous experience in translation, localization, or related fields preferred but not required.

    Familiarity with translation software and tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, CAT tools) is a plus.

    Ability to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances.

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain consistency and quality across large volumes of translated content.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

    Adaptability to work on a variety of document types and subject matters, demonstrating versatility in translation skills.

    Cultural sensitivity and awareness of cultural differences to ensure appropriate translation and localization of content.

    Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
